Study in Singapore

Singapore, small though it may be, is a vibrant, multicultural city-state that offers the best of both the East and the West to international students.

Since universities in Singapore have collaborations with leading institutions across the world, you could even spend a semester or two as an exchange student at a partner university.

Singapore’s regional positioning means that it serves as a gateway to countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, and the Philippines.

Singapore is known for its superior quality of life and flourishing financial markets, which factors into migratory expats’ decision-making. An increase in the number of wealthy expats in the country leads to higher amounts of spending, which in turn helps to stimulate the economy more

The low cost of living and working in Singapore makes it easier for expats to save more of their income, making them the highest paid in the world, based on the amount of disposable income leftover after taxes, household and necessary expenditures. There are more than 80,000 students from more than 120 countries currently studying in Singapore.

Singapore’s education system is highly regarded and has been described as world-leading by many.

Bachelor programs take 3 to 4 years to complete, while a master’s program can last 1 to 3 years. Doctoral studies last 2 to 5 years.

The Singapore government allows international students to work only if they are enrolled in institutions approved by the Ministry of Manpower. If you are a student of one of the approved institutions, you are permitted to work for up to 16 hours per week part-time when the term is on, and full-time during vacations.
